Kevin Finn Founding President/CEO of Strategies to End Homelessness, Inc.

Kevin Finn is the founding President/CEO of Strategies to End Homelessness, Inc. Since 2007, Strategies to End Homelessness has led a coordinated community effort to end homelessness in Greater Cincinnati.

Working in partnership with 30 non-profit organizations, Strategies to End Homelessness coordinates a centralized emergency shelter hotline, homelessness prevention, street outreach, emergency shelter and housing solutions with the goal of ending homelessness. Through the work of Strategies to End Homelessness, Cincinnati is recognized nationally as a leader in implementing innovative and effective programs to end homelessness.

Kevin’s work with the homeless started with a St. Xavier High School mission trip back in 1988. That experience changed his life.  He continued his work with the homeless in 1998 as a street outreach worker providing services to homeless teenagers who were living on the streets, and eventually worked his way up to his current position, coordinating the homeless services system.

In a recent interview, Kevin stated, “The biggest challenge we face is the perception that homelessness is a problem our community cannot solve. In other words, if we as a community believe that there will always be homeless people, then we become complacent and lose all sense of urgency to help those who are currently homeless.”

PARKING: Our parking arrangement is with the Mabley Place Garage, located at 410 Race St, Cincinnati, OH 45202. Entrances are on 4th Street and Race Street. The rate for the garage will be $5.00 and the process will work the same way as the 84.51 Garage in that you will use a chaser ticket to receive the $5.00 rate. Chaser tickets can be picked up at meeting check-in on. We only receive a limited supply from the garage, so please take only one ticket per Thursday. The lower floors of the garage are generally filled with monthly and hotel parkers so please know in advance you will most likely need to go to the D and E floors in order to find a space. If you get lucky and find one on a lower floor, go for it! The good news is the garage is attached directly to the Hilton so just take the elevators to the second floor and enter the hotel to the left from the Carew Tower.  Please contact the Rotary office with any questions.
