The Course
“The Power of Lifestyle: It’s Your Best Medicine!”
Your lifestyle choices have profound effects on your health, wellness, performance, energy levels, and even how you age. In this presentation, we will talk about the growing prevalence of chronic disease in adults in the US (such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, etc). You will learn that you can take control of your health and make considerable improvements; you are not at the mercy of your genes. We will discuss the six pillars of lifestyle medicine and how making changes in any one of these areas (let alone all of them) can have a big impact on your health. We will talk about some “simple” evidence-based interventions and strategies to start implementing to enhance your health, mood, energy levels, performance, slow aging – and even prevent, treat, or reverse disease. You have enormous power to make positive changes at any age!
