Rick Greiwe is the principal of Greiwe Development, which specializes in developing multifamily housing in urban and neighborhood centers. The company’s product is designed so residents can enjoy a new lifestyle adjacent entertainment, dining and recreational amenities.
Rick recently co-founded America’s River Roots Experience, a nonprofit corporation that will be orchestrating the kick off of America’s 250th birthday in October 2025. Rick is also involved in the following civic initiatives: Cincinnati Riding/Walking Network (CROWN) 34-mile trail loop connecting 54 neighborhoods and Ohio River National Water Trail designation by the National Park Service.
America’s River Roots is a signature event to kick off America’s 250th celebration, scheduled for October 8-12, 2025 on the Cincinnati, Covington and Newport river fronts.
Themed riverboats from seven cities will share the food and music of their region. A travel showcase will promote their cultural tourism assets. Regional cultural tours, including Freedom Journey App, Kentucky Bourbon Trail, World Heritage Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks and Ohio River Recreational Trail will be featured.
The event gives area residents an opportunity to explore their heritage and history while connecting with our common river roots. The eclectic mix of music, culture, and culinary experiences along the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky world-class riverfront will attract regional/national visitors and international media attention to the region.
The cities of Cincinnati and Newport, Cincinnati Museum Center, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Cincinnati Parks, and Cincinnati Parks Foundation are partnering with America’s River Roots Experience, a nonprofit corporation, formed to develop and promote the culture, cuisine and music of America’s inland rivers in the Ports of Cincinnati, OH, Newport and Covington, KY.
