Join us on Thursday, January 29, 2026, for a LUNCH (12:00-1:30pm) meeting at Carnegie Hall (401 Monmouth St, Newport, KY), for a program with Larry Krauter, CEO, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).

Lawrence J. Krauter was named CEO of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) effective March 2025, after serving as chief executive officer of Spokane (Washington) Airports for 14 years. A 36-year veteran of the aviation industry, he was previously interim executive director, deputy executive director, and director of planning and engineering at the Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority in Pennsylvania. Prior to that, Larry was an airport planner with the Division of Airports in the City of Columbus, Ohio. Larry began his career as an engineer assistant with the Ohio Department of Transportation, working on bridge and highway projects in northeast Ohio.
As CEO of CVG, Larry leads a team of 450+ staff and oversees an annual operating budget that exceeds $160 million, which collectively supports the airport’s $9.3 billion annual economic impact to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region.
Larry is active in the airport/aviation industry; he is a member of the board of Airports Council International—North America and served as Chair of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) in 2021-2022. During that time, he guided the Association’s advocacy efforts to advance airport priorities for what became the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024. He is a member of the board of the AAAE U.S. Contract Tower Association, as well as a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and U.S. Seaplane Pilots Association. He is a past president of the Aviation Council of Pennsylvania and AAAE Northwest Chapter.
While in Spokane, Washington, Larry held multiple leadership roles within the community, including board service for the Spokane Regional Transportation Council, West Plains/Airport Area Public Development Authority, Gonzaga University School of Business, and Spokane Good Roads Association, among others.
Larry is a graduate of The Ohio State University and is a single-engine land (SEL) and single-engine seaplane (SES) rated pilot. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. In 2024, Larry was bestowed the Distinguished Service Award from AAAE, conferred upon airport executives with more than 25 years of public service and whose positive contributions to the airport management profession are noteworthy.
