The student finalists competing in the event this year are from DePaul Cristo Rey High School, McNicholas High School and Spencer Center For Gifted and Exceptional Students. The winning student competes at the district competition in Dayton.
Students choose any topic they are passionate about for their speeches, and weave in Rotary’s 4-way test – the ethical standard used by Rotarians worldwide.
Rotarians on the 4-Way Test Speech Contest Committee chaired by Chip Carson have been coaching students at their schools. The students who won in-school contests get to invite their parents and two faculty members to cheer them on at the big event Thursday.
It is so inspiring to hear talented young people articulate and apply Rotary’s core ethical principles.
RSVPs are required to attend, whether you are eating lunch or not, so if you would like to attend, please click HERE by 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, or contact [email protected].
