Rotarians @ Work Day

Rotarians @ Work is September 14th, featuring 6 locations all starting at NOON. This is the once-a-year opportunity for Club 17 members to venture out to the workplace of a fellow Rotarian. This year, over the NOON hour, with a box lunch, you will have the option to visit Lightborne Communications, Osborne Coinage Co, Terracon Consultants, Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Magnet Technology or DePaul Cristo Rey High School! Lightborne Communications
Featured Speaker: Angie Fischer
Lightborne specializes in creating jaw-dropping visual content, no matter the screen size or media utilized. From projection mapping events like BLINK to broadcast video production to live event and concert tours, our expertise in 3D motion graphics design sets us apart from others in the industry. We work with a wide variety of clients such as P&G, Munich Re, and GE Aerospace, and musical artists like Billy Joel, Katy Perry and Missy Elliott. Participants will take a tour of the technology available, studio and even play around with some virtual reality headsets! (212 E. 14th St, 45202)
Notes: The office is a very creative environment, and anything goes as far as wardrobe is concerned! The studio, where lunch will be served, is located on the ground floor, and there is a ramp to get up to the other section of this floor and an elevator to get to all other floors.

Osborne Coinage Co.
Featured Speaker: Patrick Hipple, Account Executive
Osborne Coinage is America’s oldest private mint, in business since 1835! Their products are made in Cincinnati, Ohio, which has been the base of their operation for over 100 years. In 2023, Osborne Coinage Company reached another milestone by becoming part of the Royal United Mint, joining notable companies The Royal Dutch Mint and Mauqoy Token Company. Participants will take a tour of the mint and see how coins are made! (2851 Massachusetts Ave, 45225)
Notes: A fair amount of walking will take place during the tour. Dress is business casual, but participants must wear closed toe shoes. Participants must sign a non-disclosure agreement form before the tour.

Terracon Consultants, Inc.
Featured Speaker: Josh Vogel, Group Manager
Terracon Consultants, Inc, is a geotechnical engineering firm offering services in geotechnical, environmental, facilities and construction material testing. Participants will get an overview of the company, highlighting 100 years of service to the Cincinnati region and key projects. There will be a quick discussion of Terracon’s IIF safety culture. Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science
Featured Speaker: Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science President Jack E. Lechner, Jr.
The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science is an institution which endeavors to develop professionals who can function with distinction within their chosen profession and within the community of life. They strive to provide the best education possible. President Lechner will give an overview and history of the school and then conduct a tour of the facilities. (645 W. North Bend Rd, 45224)
Notes: Free parking is behind the building. This is a small facility with very little walking. Dress is business casual.

Magnet Technology
Featured Speaker: Brian Vielhauer
Magnet Technology is a producer of magnetic extrusions. Established in 1980, Magnet Technology is a leading manufacturer of flexible magnets to customer specifications. In 1997, they built and moved into their new location, centrally located in Southern Ohio with convenient access to major highways. Participants will get to see extrusion and the process of making magnets for industry. (1599 Kingsview Dr, Lebanon 45036)

 Parking is available in the company lot. This location is not recommended for those that cannot do a lot of walking through this large facility. Dress is casual with closed toe shoes.

DePaul Cristo Rey High School
Featured Speaker: Siobhan Taylor, President/CEO
DePaul Cristo Rey High School is a school that helps limited means students advance through collegiate and professional goals. Their unique work study program distinguishes them from other Cincinnati high schools. Participants will hear from their president and tour the school. (3440 Central Pkwy, 45225)
