Good Luck to Brooke and Keith Desserich! They’re up for the National Jefferson Award in Washington

In March 2015, the Rotary Club of Cincinnati and its media partners, The Cincinnati Enquirer and WKRC-TV- Local 12, hosted the local award ceremony for the Jefferson Awards. In conjunction with the American Institute of Public Service (AIPS), the award recognizes those special people in our community who have created a program that serves an unmet need, or a special volunteer who has provided extraordinary service to an organization. The recipients of the local award, Brooke and Keith Desserich, Founders of The Cure Starts Now, are traveling to Washington, DC, today for the National Award Ceremony which takes place the evening of Thursday, June 18, 2015.  The Jefferson Awards Foundation will be streaming the event live on their website.  Click here to watch the ceremony LIVE on Thursday evening: National Jefferson Award Ceremony Live Stream.

Our media sponsor, WKRC-TV Local 12, created a wonderful video narrated by Bob Herzog  about Brooke and Keith Desserich and the organization they founded in honor of their daughter, Elena, The Cure Starts Now.  Watch the Video of the Desserich’s Incredible Story.
