Rotary Club of Cincinnati Meetings and Activities Cancelled Through April 1, 2020

As Dr. Amy Acton, the Director of the Ohio Department of Health, has stated that the next two weeks are a crucial time for slowing the spread of COVID-19 and Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine, last week announced an order prohibiting mass gatherings of more than 100 people in the state of Ohio, the Executive Committee of your Board of Directors felt it was our responsibility to cancel all meetings and activities until April 1, 2020, for the safety of our members. The Board of Directors will continue to monitor the situation and updates will be sent via email and posted on social media as they become available.

A message from Club President, Dave Carlin:

“All of us are being inundated with news about the COVID-19 virus and have varying degrees of confusion and anxiety about the near future.  The current circumstances, uncertain as they are, demand we err on the side of caution, and the most important thing is that we protect those around us who may be more vulnerable.

Unfortunately, the reality is our amazing club won’t be able to meet for a few weeks.  At the end of the day, I think this will be beneficial to all concerned.  We’re going to work very hard to creatively keep our club engaged during this time when we can’t meet. Stay tuned for more details.

We’ll make the best out of a bad situation and not only survive, but thrive as we continue our march to take our club to the Next Level.  That’s what Rotarians do.”

Dave
