BLINK debuted in Cincinnati in 2017, with about 1 million people visiting downtown and Over-the-Rhine to take in the nation’s largest light, art and projection mapping experience.
It returned in 2019 and expanded into Northern Kentucky as some 1.25 million attended. After the global pandemic caused a hiatus, the biennial Blink will return in October. In February, the lead organizer, the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, announced it had hired the event’s first executive director, Justin Brookhart. He moved here from Austin, Texas, where he had worked in several private business operational roles.
