Adrian Melendez, Director of Operations, Amazon Air Hub

Join us this Thursday, April 20, 2023, for a LUNCH (12:00-1:30pm) meeting at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, Continental, for a presentation by Adrian Melendez, Director of Operations, Amazon Air Hub.

Adrian Melendez is a Dawson Springs, Kentucky native and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from University of Louisville. From 2010 through 2020, Adrian joined Amazon and worked his way up from entry-level area manager to general manager, opening fulfillment centers across NA. In 2021, Adrian landed back home to serve as the director of operations at Amazon’s $1.5 billion air hub in Northern Kentucky. The campus, which is Amazon’s largest field operation in the world, includes an 800,000-square-foot sortation building that sits on a 600-acre campus and features seven buildings, an expansive new ramp for 30+ aircraft parking, Amazon’s next-generation of robotic and automation technology, and a solar rooftop that will feed energy directly into the electrical grid of the local community. In addition to overseeing the state-of-the-art facility – which serves as the central hub for Amazon Air’s network – Adrian’s focus continues to be on creating a world-class customer experience powered by an incredible workforce, as well as ensuring the safety of more than 2,000 full-time employees that live and work in Greater Cincinnati.
