Posey, President, Cincinnati State Technical & Community College; Dr. H. James Williams, President, Mount Saint Joseph University; and Mr. Harry Snyder, President & CEO, Great Oaks Career Campuses. 

Workforce Development – Lessons from Higher Ed:
Prominent area leaders in education will join our first Corporate Roundtable of 2026. Hear their insightful discussion on the economy, workforce demands, Artificial Intelligence and other factors impacting strategic priorities for colleges, universities and career/workforce training.


Dr. Monica J. Posey serves as President of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, where she has worked for 34 years and led the college for the past decade. Under her leadership, Cincinnati State has reached its highest enrollment in more than ten years, strengthened its financial position, produced graduates with the highest average earnings among Ohio’s community colleges, and doubled its regional economic impact to $1.3 billion annually. She holds a Doctor of Education from the University of Cincinnati, an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, and previously taught statistics at UC following a business career with AT&T. Dr. Posey is active in the community through board service with GRAD Cincinnati, Cincinnati Works, and the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, and is a graduate of Leadership Cincinnati. Her honors include Business Courier Women Who Mean Business, YWCA Career Women of Achievement, and Cincy Magazine’s 100 Most Influential. She and her husband, Rev. Dr. Michael J. Posey, are also engaged in community service through tutoring, mentoring, and endowed scholarships supporting local students.


Dr. H. James Williams, CPA, CMA, JD, LLM, became the seventh president of Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati on March 16, 2016. He holds degrees in accounting, business, and law from North Carolina Central University, the University of Wisconsin–Madison, the University of Georgia, and Georgetown University Law Center, and brings extensive experience from both the public accounting and legal professions. Throughout his academic career, he has received numerous honors for teaching excellence and service to students, including multiple Teacher of the Year awards, as well as community recognitions such as the Michigan Chronicle’s “Men of Excellence” and HBCU “Living Legends” awards. His scholarly work has been widely published in academic and practitioner journals. Dr. Williams serves on several national and regional boards, including Community Health Systems, Inc., the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, GC3, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, Boys Hope Girls Hope, and the National Museum of African American Music’s Higher Education Advisory Board. A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, he and his wife, Carole, have two adult children and two grandsons.


Mr. Harry Snyder, serves as President and CEO of Great Oaks Career Campuses, where he has spent more than two decades advancing workforce training and promoting collaboration between business and education to support economic growth in Southwest Ohio. Appointed as the organization’s fifth President and CEO in 2014, he oversees four campuses that provide career-technical education to more than 20,000 youth and 15,000 adults across 36 partner school districts, making Great Oaks one of the largest career-technical districts in the country. Under his leadership, Great Oaks has been recognized as a Cincinnati Enquirer Top Workplace for more than eight consecutive years, and he has received numerous honors, including recognition as a Cincy Magazine Power 100 recipient and the 2025 Edward J. Parish Pacesetter Award from the Clermont County Chamber. Snyder remains active in professional and community leadership, serving on several boards including Christ College of Nursing, the Christian Benevolent Association, the Ohio Association of Career Tech Superintendents, the Clermont County Park Board, REDI Cincinnati, CASE Learning, and the UC Clermont Advisory Board. He holds a master’s degree in vocational education from Wright State University, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati, and earned his superintendent license through Xavier University. He resides in Clermont County with his wife, Janet, and they have three children and four grandchildren.
